We are looking for a new colleague in the StarNet family as a Purchasing Manager, to coordinate our company's procurement activities. Your responsibilities include managing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs.You should be able to negotiate with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses for all cost categories. We also want you to be result oriented and possess excellent negotiation skills.

What you will be doing:

  • Participate in implementation of sourcing and purchasing strategies
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments
  • Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor suppliers based on quality, schedule, cost and management performance standards
  • Analyze total cost for best possible supply solution
  • Prepare purchase orders by verifying demands, Purchasing parameters, specifications and price
  • Order samples and provide daily support for material planner
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Organize logistic transport for incoming goods
  • Collaborate with financial department to resolve invoicing issues 
  • Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
  • Setup, update ERP setting related to procurement

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Economics/Logistics
  • 5 - 7 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager, in a telecommunication company will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of delivery procedures, import rules and communication with customs authorities
  • Knowledge of suppliers, market prices and trends
  • Excellent knowledge of both Romanian and Russian languages, English- advanced
  • Very good knowledge of ERP systems( Epicor/SAP/ Oracle)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
